Meanings shift and change with my work, but...

This mixed-media piece embodies a sense of uncertainty and transformation, where fragmented forms and layered textures evoke an organic, ever-shifting state of being. The central figure, a hybrid entity with multiple appendages and eyes, appears in a state of flux—stretching, morphing, and devouring itself in an endless cycle of evolution and hesitation. Its jagged, almost skeletal structure conveys tension, as if caught between opposing forces, embodying the struggle of indecision.

The title, The Creeping Vacillation, suggests a slow yet persistent oscillation between states, reinforcing the theme of uncertainty and instability. "Creeping" implies an insidious, almost unconscious movement, while "Vacillation" speaks to a wavering between choices, realities, or perceptions. The intricate symbols and swirling patterns surrounding the figure create a visual language that mimics the chaotic, recursive nature of indecision, hinting at a deeper existential question—what drives our constant shifting between certainty and doubt?

Through its layered composition, vibrant contrasts, and cryptic textual elements, the painting captures the essence of an unstable reality—one where transformation is inevitable, but direction remains elusive. It invites the viewer into a space of introspection, where change is both an act of creation and dissolution, an unsettling yet necessary process of existence.
