Meanings shift and change with my work, but...

This piece visualizes the fragmentation of consciousness, an unraveling of perception where multiple realities bleed into one another. The title draws from quantum mechanics—specifically, the phenomenon of entanglement and wave function collapse—suggesting a mind caught between superimposed states, flickering between different versions of itself. The face, or faces, seem to emerge and dissolve simultaneously, as if trapped in a liminal space between being and unbeing.

The use of eyes—disparate, layered, and staring into multiple directions—reinforces the theme of observation and self-awareness. They suggest the paradox of the observer effect: does consciousness create reality, or is it merely reacting to a pre-existing structure? The red fissures running through the piece resemble wounds or rifts in spacetime, ruptures through which alternative selves might slip through. Meanwhile, the swirling grey tendrils at the edges evoke an eerie, spectral presence—ghosts of thought, echoes of selves never fully realized. This painting is a psychological and existential interrogation, both haunting and mesmerizing, capturing the unease of a mind stretched across too many dimensions.
