Meanings shift and change with my work, but...

This complex and thought-provoking mixed-media work presents a surreal interplay of perception, communication, and the unseen forces shaping reality. The composition is filled with layered, interwoven figures—creatures with fragmented, watchful eyes, intricate textures, and cryptic symbols that evoke a sense of encoded meaning. The background, teeming with abstract glyphs and flowing patterns, suggests an underlying order that remains just beyond comprehension, much like the hidden fabric of the universe.

The title, Let’s Play Eyeball in the Scalar Field (Greetings In Braille), references both quantum physics and sensory perception. The scalar field is a concept in physics describing a field where each point in space is assigned a value—often used in theories of fundamental particles and cosmology. The playful phrase Let’s Play Eyeball suggests a game or exploration within this abstract, invisible realm. The subtitle, Greetings In Braille, reinforces the idea of perception beyond sight, hinting at an alternative form of understanding—one that relies on touch, intuition, or an entirely different sensory paradigm.

The eyes scattered throughout the painting, some wide open, others embedded within layered textures, symbolize observation, awareness, and the attempt to decode an elusive reality. The hands reaching out, seemingly interacting with unseen forces, further emphasize the theme of navigating the unknown—perhaps groping for meaning in a universe governed by hidden variables. The juxtaposition of sharp, horned structures with organic, wave-like elements reflects a tension between logic and chaos, order and entropy.

This painting challenges the viewer to consider perception as more than just visual input. If reality is shaped by fields and forces beyond direct observation, how much of what we “see” is merely an interpretation? The work suggests that understanding may require a shift in how we engage with the world—perhaps by embracing the unseen, the tactile, the intuitive. It is an invitation to play, to explore, and to decode the strange and beautiful language of existence.
