Meanings shift and change with my work, but...

This electrifying mixed-media piece is a direct confrontation—a visual and psychological invasion that challenges the boundary between observer and observed. The composition is dominated by a striking contrast between the deep, electric blue of the central figure and the pulsating red background, creating a sense of urgency, energy, and perhaps even intrusion. The figure itself, fragmented and multi-eyed, appears to be both shifting and solid, an entity that exists within multiple states at once—just like a thought that flickers between presence and absence in the mind.

The title, I’m in Your Mind, reinforces this unsettling presence, suggesting a force that has embedded itself within the consciousness of the viewer. It raises the question: is this entity a creation of your perception, or has it always been there, waiting to be seen? The repetition of eyes throughout the form emphasizes surveillance and omnipresence, evoking the feeling that this being is not just something you are looking at, but something that is looking back—perhaps even influencing your thoughts.

The aggressive, almost glyph-like text scattered throughout the composition adds another layer of interpretation. It resembles cryptic messages or subconscious commands, hinting at a language beyond understanding, one that operates beneath the surface of rational thought. The jagged, claw-like appendages of the creature contribute to a sense of psychic intrusion, as if this being is reaching out to grasp, manipulate, or entangle itself within the viewer’s perception.

On a deeper level, this work explores the idea of how thoughts, emotions, and external influences implant themselves in the psyche. Are we ever fully in control of our own minds, or are we constantly being shaped by unseen forces—memories, fears, ideologies, or even the art we consume?

By making the viewer aware of the very act of perception, I’m in Your Mind becomes a recursive loop of observation: the painting exists in the mind of the viewer, and in turn, the viewer exists within the realm of the painting. It is both an artwork and an experience—one that lingers, questioning where the boundaries of self truly begin and end.
